Course content

During the course, you will explore thematic areas relevant to your transition and new role as a manager. The teaching is based on short presentations and discussions, and you will review and assess common new manager dilemmas with the course consultant and other participants.
You will practice how to handle common workplace dilemmas and challenging conversations, while also learning how to avoid common pitfalls. You will be given tools that you can use to develop your own management style and practice using them in a safe and controlled environment.

Your consultant for the course

Hanne Tornager has more than 20 years’ experience as an independent advisor and has taught at Lederne Kompetencecenter since 2022. Hanne works with both Danish and international clients in the public and private sector, advising managers at all levels. She supports and advises clients during strategy development and execution. In addition, she is an expert in using communication as a tool to create cultural change and increase awareness of roles and interactions during individual and organisational change. Hanne studied at the Danish School of Journalism. She has a master’s degree in communication, and a master's degree in political science.
